Liversedge
comes to Martins Bank from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank, and is one of
those sub-Branches which is geographically in one county, but actually part
of another district of the Bank. In this
case Liversedge is is Yorkshire, and it is administered by Martins Bank’s Manchester District. since the days of the Lancashire and
Yorkshire Bank, the parent branch is at Heckmondwike. Liversedge joins many
similar sized outlets of the Bank to be closed down for the duration of World
War II, and then not re-opened again once hostilities have ceased. We do not
currently have details of the opening hours at Liversedge, nor do we have any
pictures of the branch, but as ever we will keep digging and we are always
grateful for any help you are able to provide, be it memories or pictures,
which should be sent to us at the usual address – martinsbankarchive@btinternet.com |
