MARTINS BANK ARCHIVE – SITE MENU |
Please
take a leaflet! From 1963 onwards, Martins Bank rolls out these attractive
wood and glass display units (BELOW) – to
be to be used in every Branch – in
order to promote the many and varied services offered by the Bank through a
series of handy colourful product and information leaflets. It takes until 1968 for the Bank to fully
develop it’s “in-house” look, as you can see from the various incarnations of
leaflets on display in these black and white photographs. Some leaflets that were produced in the 1950s, such as “You
can open a banking account with only a few pounds” are still in use well into
the 1960s. The general layout of our
online archive is based around the idea of these leaflets and the kind of
“in-house” look – which today would be more commonly termed as branding. You need only click on the leaflet that
interests you, to be taken to the relevant feature page, and a step back in
time… |
