We
love looking at the available photographs of some of Martins Bank’s Cattle
Market Branches – especially those that look as if business was conducted
either in a garden shed or a giant moneybox!
It’s such a shame there are no internal views of this one at
Northampton, as we would doubtless be amazed at how everything inside would
fit into such a small space.
Fresh flowers and self
inking fountain pens are the order of the day even for the tiniest office of
the bank. Northampton Cattle Market
Branch opens in 1958, and closes surplus to requirements at the time of the
merger in 1969.
