Where you can’t see
the wood(en bank) for the trees… Well
camouflaged, and looking as if someone has just built it from LEGO®, Martins Bank’s sub-Branch at Dolgarrog
offers a kind of road-side assitance to those in need of cheques cashed, and
takings to be paid in. Martins is well known for having branches in remote,
scenic, and especially idyllic parts of the country, and this part of North
Wales does not disappoint. The main
office at Llandudno sends a member of its staff to Dolgarrog sub-Branch every
Monday and Friday. |

You
can see one of them below but unfortunately, we do not have his name. If you can help identify this member of
staff from the late 1960s, please do get in touch with us at: gutinfo@btinternet.com. Opened in 1948, Dolgarrog lasts a surprisingly
long period of forty-four years, before closing its doors for the final time
in September 1992.
