1963 is a VERY busy year
for Martins Bank – a number of Branches all over England and Wales are given
a long awaited and much needed makeover, others are closed and moved to new
premises, some are knocked down and rebuilt.
The Bank is also busy adding sub-Branches to industrial sites and
workplaces including Cattle Markets, Universities, and in this case, a
Hospital. Broadgreen is Martins Bank’s only hospital sub branch, and lasts
surprisingly well, just making it into the twenty-first century before
serving its final batch of hospital customers in April 2000… |

Martins time, Broadgreen Hospital is a sub branch to Old Swan, and opens each

that 1960s customers will have had.
Redevelopment of the site has brought new buildings and a new main
