The Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank opens a Branch at
Manor House Stainland, sometime before 1922. When Martins Bank
Limited is created in 1928 by the merger of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Bank
with the Bank of Liverpool and Martins, a there are briefly THREE
sub-Branches of the new Bank at Stainland, one at Holroyd Square, one at
South Parade and one at Manor House.
Martins Bank takes the decision to permanently close the sub-branch at
Manor House by the end of 1928… |
